Quick Microwave Chocolate Tempering
Ingredients:
- 8 ounces 225g of high-quality chocolate dark, milk, or white
- A microwave-safe bowl
Instructions:
To ensure even melting, break the chocolate into small, uniformly sized pieces
Put the chocolate chunks in a bowl that is safe to microwave
The chocolate should be microwaved for 15 to 20 seconds at a time on low or at 50% power
Make sure to thoroughly mix the chocolate using a clean, dry spatula or spoon after every interval
Once the chocolate is nearly melted, keep heating it in short bursts in the microwave and stir it
After taking the bowl out of the microwave, keep stirring until all of the solid pieces have melted
The chocolate will melt more evenly thanks to the residual heat
The chocolate ought to be glossy and silky
Because chocolate burns easily in the microwave, take care not to overheat it
At this point, your tempered chocolate is prepared for molding, coating, or dipping
