Coffee-Printed T-Shirt Recipe

Use brewed coffee as ink to make your own unique coffee-printed T-shirt. If you like fashion and coffee, this do-it-yourself project is a great way to combine the two.

Ingredients:
  • 1 blank white T-shirt
  • 1 cup brewed coffee
  • 1 paintbrush
  • 1 stencil optional
  • 1 iron
  • 1 ironing board
  • 1 sheet of parchment paper

Instructions:

Brew a strong cup of coffee and let it cool to room temperature

Lay the blank white T-shirt flat on an ironing board

Using a paintbrush, dip it into the brewed coffee and start painting your desired design on the T-shirt

You can also use a stencil for more precise patterns

Allow the coffee ink to dry completely

This may take a few hours, or you can speed up the process by using a hairdryer

Once the coffee design is dry, place a sheet of parchment paper over it to protect your iron

Preheat the iron to a medium-high setting, with no steam

Carefully iron over the parchment paper-covered coffee design for about 2-3 minutes, ensuring the heat sets the coffee ink into the fabric

Let the T-shirt cool down for a few minutes

Your coffee-printed T-shirt is now ready to wear and enjoy
