Speculaascake uit de Airfryer

A delightful Dutch-style speculaas spiced cake cooked to perfection in the Airfryer. This cake is a wonderful treat for speculaas lovers, with its warm, aromatic spices and tender crumb.

Ingredients:

  • 200g speculaas biscuits, crushed
  • 150g all-purpose flour
  • 150g unsalted butter, softened
  • 150g brown sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 50ml milk

Instructions:

Get your air fryer ready by heating it up to 320F 160C

Put the softened butter and brown sugar in a bowl and mix them together until they are light and fluffy

One at a time, add the eggs and beat well after each one

Add the vanilla extract and mix well

Whisk the all-purpose flour, baking powder, cinnamon, ground cloves, ground nutmeg, and salt together in a different bowl

Add the crushed speculaas biscuits and mix them well

Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ones, mixing them in with the milk every so often

Start with the dry ingredients and end with the milk

Dont mix any further than that

Put the cake batter in a cake pan that fits in your Airfryer after greasing it

Put the cake pan in the Airfryer that has been heated up

Cook for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick stuck in the middle comes out clean

Take the speculaascake out of the air fryer and let it cool in the pan for a few minutes

Then, move it to a wire rack to finish cooling

When the cake is cool, you can either sprinkle it with powdered sugar or serve it plain
