Caramelised Onion Cous Cous with Lamb Chops
Ingredients:
- 1 cup couscous
- 2 cups water
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 large onions, thinly sliced
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 4 lamb chops
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions:
Bring 2 cups of water to a boil in a saucepan
Put the couscous in a bowl that can handle heat and pour the boiling water over it
Put a lid on it and wait 5 minutes
After that, use a fork to fluff it up
Put 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a different pan and heat it over medium-low heat
It will take about 10 to 15 minutes of cooking after adding the sliced onions for them to start to turn brown
Add sugar to the onions and keep cooking them until they turn caramelized and golden brown
Put away
Salt, pepper, and ground cumin should all be mixed together and put on the lamb chops
Put the last tablespoon of olive oil in a different pan and heat it over medium-high heat
When you add the lamb chops, cook them for about 4 to 5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until they are done the way you like them
Place the couscous with caramelized onions on a plate
Add the lamb chops on top, and then sprinkle with fresh parsley
Have fun with your Lamb Chops and Caramelized Onion Cous Cous
